Executive Chef Jorge Bonilla opened the Tuscan Garden in the spring of 2010, with a vision of creating the Southeast's finest Italian dining experience. Trained in the "Culinary World" of New York for more than 20 years, Jorge infuses every dish he creates with his extensive knowledge and passion for perfection. Chef Bonilla started his career as a Chef for a five star restaurant, a well reviewed restaurant located in Long Island, New York.  While there he polished his skills as a chef and learning the art of fine dining. Once word of his tasty signature dishes got out, offers from many well known restaurants landed on Chef Bonilla 's plate. Although he had an affinity for the Long Island area, Chef Bonilla knew that greater challenges and opportunities awaited him.

In 1998, Chef Jorge Bonilla began a new career as head chef for La Cava Restaurant in Salisbury, N.C. He was joined by his brother-in law, and now business partner,  Vicente.He was given room to experiment, and created quite an eclectic menu. After they joined forces with Adelio's Italian Restaurant,in Lumberton, N.C., they fell in love with the hometown atmosphere.  However, Chef Jorge Bonilla never lost sight of his passion for fine Italian dining. He knew that in order to create the dishes he wanted to share with the world, using only the freshest ingredients available, and the finest service, he would have to establish his own restaurant.

Chef  Jorge Bonilla & Chef Vicente along with Ms.Lilly,  Chef Jorge's wife, opened the doors of the Tuscan Garden Italian Restaurant in the spring of 2010. Before they created their first dish, Chef Jorge  vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity.

The Tuscan Garden is committed to serving only the finest foods, made with the freshest ingredients. All of our dishes are made from scratch. Our inviting decor and professional servers create a memorable Italian dining experience.
